One of my favorite upcoming blog posts will be 30 DAYS TO BEAUTIFUL SKIN! EXFOLIATING WITH FRUIT is also an excellent way to keep skin beautiful and healthy on a budget.

Your skin is the body’s largest organ. It is there to protect your insides from harmful UV radiation, bacteria, fungi, from extreme heat and cold. It is the first defender of your body from these harmful elements!

TO HELP YOU IMPROVE your commitment to skin care, I decided to apply the same rules I learned in a course on emergency survival training, to the care and protection of skin. These rules are, PROTECT – FOOD – RESCUE

  1. PROTECT – the first thing you are taught is to protect yourself from the elements. This is also true for your skin. Daily moisturizer, sun protection and keeping your skin clean are vital for your skin to protect YOU from harmful things entering your body.
  2. FOOD – The next thing you are taught is to check your food and water supplies. This means, finding out what you have to keep yourself hydrated and fed, to keep your health up until you are rescued. Keeping your skin healthy with proper hydration and the right nutrients, will keep your skin supple and able to resist damage. Dry, dehydrated, or cracked skin, burned or windblown skin, these compromise your skin’s ability to function properly. Poor skin health can allow bacteria, fungus, and other harmful things to cause skin infection, or even enter your body.
  3. RESCUE The last thing you are taught is to survive until you are rescued. It may seem a bit odd to apply this to skin care, but think about it like this; if your skin was in a hostile environment, it would need to survive until it was rescued. The truth is, your skin is in a hostile environment every day! The most susceptible places are the things people see the most; the skin on your face, neck and hands. We are exposed to so many toxins in the air, toxins in our cosmetics, toxins in our soap and shampoo. They are everywhere! So you need to help your skin survive with daily rescue.
